The provider

The provider is on the right national registertraining.gov.au for vocational training, the TEQSA National Register for higher education.
Its registration status is CurrentIf it says anything else, ask what that means for you.
I know who will really teach and assess meIncluding any other organisation, and whether a recruiter I dealt with works for someone else.

The course

This course is on the provider's scope of registrationLook on the provider's own record, not just the national list.
The course is current, not supersededIf not, I know how long I would have to finish.
I know whether it is nationally recognisedAnd what document I will receive at the end.
If I need a licence, I have confirmed this course with the licensing body
I know the total hours, and they fit my weekThe study time planner can help.
I know if a work placement is required and who arranges it

The money

I have every cost and the refund terms in writingTuition, materials, resits and any other charges.
I have checked whether I qualify for a subsidy or free placeThrough my state or territory, not just this provider.
If I am taking a loan, I know the loan fee and my census dates
I know what happens if I withdraw

The promises

I have not been promised a job or a guaranteed pass
I have not been told I can finish unrealistically fast
I am not signing because of a gift, laptop or deadline
I have had time to read the agreement and think it over

I have my USIIt is free, and I create it myself.
I know how to raise a complaint
I have saved copies of what I signed and what I was promised
