Do I have the hours?
Turn the total hours of a course into hours a week. This is plain arithmetic, and your numbers stay in this browser.
Enter the hours and months
Use the total hours the provider has given you in writing, including unsupervised study.
Before you rely on the number
- Use the total hours the provider gives you in writing, and ask what they include. Unsupervised study and assessment tasks count.
- For a rough comparison, the AQF says a full-time year of study is generally 1200 hours.
- Be honest about your free hours. Allow for work, family, travel, sleep and the weeks that go wrong.
- Assessment periods and work placements can need more time than an average week.
